TELECONFERENCE NOTICE

Pursuant to Executive Order N-29-20 issued by Governor Gavin Newsom on March 17, 2020 and to the extent applicable Government Code Section 54953(b), this City Council Meeting may include teleconference participation by the City Council Members and City staff. Consistent with Executive Order N-29-20 teleconference locations utilized by City Council Members shall not be accessible to the public and are not subject to special posting requirements.

The Imperial City Council meetings, including public comments, are being live streamed on the City’s social media pages. By remaining in the room you are giving your permission to be recorded.

CITY COUNCIL CONVENES TO CLOSED SESSION AT 6:00 PM.

This is a CLOSED SESSION in which the COUNCIL discusses matters in closed as opposed to open session. Only those matters authorized by the Brown Act as permissible CLOSED SESSION subjects will be discussed. They are as follows:

E. CONSENT AGENDA:

All items appearing under "Consent Agenda" will be acted upon by the City Council by one motion without discussion. Should any Council member or other person request that any item be considered separately, that item will then be taken up at the time as determined by the MAYOR.
E-1.Approval of claims/warrants report.
E-2.Suspend emergency action for repairs at the Aten Blvd. and Cross Rd. intersection as declared by Resolution 2021-07.
E-3.Approval of Minutes for July 07, 2021 and July 21, 2021.
E-4.Accept the Barioni blvd. Waterline Improvement Project as completed by the Hylan West and authorize the filing of Notice of Completion.
E-5.Approve purchase of equipment parts for booster station maintenance from Core and Main in the amount of $45,117.00.
E-6.Authorization to declare the Imperial Police Department’s vehicles as surplus and authorize the sale and/or salvage of vehicles.
E-7.Establishment of General Maintenance Technician Job Description and Range Classification.
E-8.Establishment of Park Maintenance Crew Leader Job Description and Range Classification.
E-9.Authorization for the City Manager, and/or designee, to enter into an agreement with Imperial County for an all-jurisdiction master tax sharing update, not to exceed $20,000.00.

F-1.SUBJECT:DISCUSSION/ACTION: MAYFIELD RANCH SUBDIVISION UNIT NO. 3C.
 1.AUTHORIZATION TO PREPARE AND SUBMIT AN ENCROACHMENT PERMIT APPLICATION TO IID FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A DRAINAGE CONNECTION TO IID McCALL DRAIN 5A.
F-2.SUBJECT:DISCUSSION/ACTION: CLASS I AND CLASS II BIKE FACILITY ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF ATEN BLVD FROM DOGWOOD ROAD TO PUERTO VALLARTA AVENUE – CML 5134(023) / BID NO. 2020-08.
 1.AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF $56,782.26 TO IID FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THIRTEEN (13) STREET LIGHTS AND TRANSFORMERS ALONG ATEN RD AND PUERTO VALLARTA AVE AND LEGAKES AVE PER COST ESTIMATE/SERVICE NOTIFCATION #4030391.
 2.AUTHORIZE PAYMENT OF $60,920.27 TO IID TO ENERGIZE NINE (9) NEW STREET LIGHTS ALONG ATEN BLVD BETWEEN DOGWOOD ROAD AND LEGAKES AVENUE PER COST ESTIMATE/SERVICE NOTIFICATION #4030376.
F-3.SUBJECT:DISCUSSION/ACTION: 2ND STREET REHABILITATION AND RECONSTRUCTION FROM OLD SR-86 TO “P” STREET – STBGL 5134(024).
 1.AUTHORIZATION TO SEEK BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE 2ND STREET REHABILITATION AND RECONSTRUCTION FROM OLD SR-86 TO “P” STREET.
F-4.SUBJECT:DISCUSSION/ACTION: ALLOCATION OF ADDITIONAL FUNDING FOR FY 2020-2021 CITIZENS OPTION FOR PUBLIC SAFETY (COPS) FUNDING.
 1.APPROVAL OF RESOLUTION NO. 2021-50, APPROVING THE ACCEPTANCE OF ADDITIONAL STATE COPS PROGRAM FUNDING FOR FY 2020-2021.
 2.APPROVAL TO PURCHASE TWO USED POLICE SERVICE VEHICLES FOR THE AMOUNT OF $35,937.20.
