Animal Control

The Imperial Police Department offers Animal Control services as part of our commitment to community safety and well-being. Our program is intended to be proactive in addressing the public health concerns with stray and nuisance animals and provides dog and cat trap rentals to assist residents with the safe capture of these animals. We also offer the recovery of deceased animals from private property for a fee. Alternatively, residents may bring deceased animals to the police department for proper disposal. These services help maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for all members of our community.

In accordance with city code, residents are permitted to own and possess up to three domesticated animals. We encourage all pet owners to be mindful of this limit to help ensure responsible ownership and neighborhood harmony.
